Why do you barre so hard? 

 

I love barre simply because it is SO much fun! I started ballet at 2 ½ and
being at the barre takes me back to the fun days of dancing at the studio! The
energy at the studio is always addicting and I love how each class is different
and challenging.

 

If you had to choose 3 words to describe yourself, what would they be?

 


Compassionate, Attentive, & Fiery (I’m a ginger!)

Why do you barre so hard?
I barre so hard for the burn, the booty, the beats and the babes! I love feeling my body working hard, so the fact that barre can get my muscles burning & shaking in minutes is addicting. The results are incredible; it definitely keeps my body in shape and always feeling strong. I love the music and energy in each class and I always look forward to being around the inspiring instructors & clients.

Tell us something we don’t know about you!
I was a figure skater for most of my life up until my second year of University – I did singles skating as well as synchronized skating.

Jessica Baudin-Griffin

Why do you barre so hard?

 

I love barre because it continues to challenge me! I love how each week I feel stronger and can barre harder than the last, but I also can always challenge myself to be stronger, hold longer, sink deeper. I love that it is a mental practice just as much as a physical workout. When I’m at barre I can’t worry about my day to day stresses, I can only focus on myself, in the moment. I find that very meditative.

 

What is your favourite quote?

 

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it about learning to dance in the rain!

Jaime Turnbull

Name: Jaime Turnbull

Why do you barre so hard?
I love barre because it is an energizing workout that never feels “routine” since and every class is slightly different. It also never gets to be too easy – the stronger you get, the more you can challenge your body. Each instructor brings their own personal flare to the class which makes it even more fun! I have noticed great improvement in my balance, flexibility*, and strength since I started. *I am still very inflexible…just MORE flexible than before.

Favourite way to treat yourself?
If I really need to unwind there is nothing better than a glass of wine, a good book, and a warm bubble bath.
Standard Barre Body Fit Class with an extra 15 minutes of stretching at the end of class.
