YOUR B BODY: Barre is my therapy, so I worry less about the outside and more about how I feel on the inside. It makes me happy and it makes me mentally stronger.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: None! Seriously, my moves would make you cringe (and then laugh).

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Mismatched neon socks and overalls.

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: Floss.

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Coffee and pastries.

CURRENT HOBBIES: Is work a hobby? With work, a family and barre, there is not much time for anything else. But some day maybe hobbies will return to my life.

Kendra Chow

CURRENT HOBBIES: Reading, sampling new restaurants, golf, travel.

Lauren Chow

Height: 6’

YOUR B BODY: My barre body has helped me overcome injuries allowing me to be a functional being again. It also lets me keep an excellent amount of pasta and beer in my life!

DANCE EXPERIENCE: 20+ years as a tap dancer, dabbling in jazz for many years as well.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: The forever coordinating outfits my sister and I had - track suits, dresses, jackets.

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: My beats! Music fuels my soul.

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Dumplings... coffee... breakfast foods... basically if you ever ask me if I'm hungry, the answer is 'always'.

CURRENT HOBBIES: Golfing, checking out the local food scene, listening to podcasts, baking, boxing, and the occasional netflix binge.

Julia Johnson

Height: 5’2”

YOUR B BODY: I work out to move, get out of my head and stay in touch with my creative side.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: I trained and danced for 18 years with the Edmonton School of Ballet in ballet, jazz, modern, tap and hip hop. I also danced during university with MOD Contemporary Dance Movement.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Funky headbands and hair accessories!

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: Ice cream ;)

Emily Fleming

Height: 5’6”

YOUR B BODY: I love the body I have because it's something that I've consciously made. Through running, lifting, spinning, and barre I've made a vessel that I'm completing comfortable in and respect daily. I also love my barre body because it lets me do things BETTER. I'm an avid hiker. Since going to barre I've noticed that the increased strength I have in in my accessory muscles allows me to climb without fatiguing as quickly. I've also noticed improved recovery.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: I danced for 13 years at Devon School of Dance. Tap was my favorite but I did ballet, jazz and contemporary as well. Shoutout to Studio B client Kim Ehlers who owns Devon School of Dance. So fun running into her at barre after 5+ years apart.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: I wasn't big into fashion but I had like three lulu lemon scuba hoodies that I would zip all the way up to my chin and thought I looked hella fresh in.

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: My eyebrows

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Lentil bolognese, pasta, homemade bread, IPAs, vegan lasagna. It goes on.

CURRENT HOBBIES: Knitting, craft beer, reading, kayaking, hiking

Michelle Shewchuk

Height: 5’3”

YOUR B BODY: My barre/bounce body is a powerhouse, it literally carries me through each & every day - from work, to workouts, to running errands and meeting up with friends. I workout so that I can keep my body healthy & happy. Not only does working out give me the strength to participate in numerous activities (like obstacle course runs, which I love!!), but it also gives me the strength to power through day to day activities (like groceries and HAVING to take them all inside in one trip). Working out also not only nourishes my physical body, but also my mind - every workout is like a mental reset, giving me more clarity and energy to take on the rest of the day. Oh.. and I like nachos... and ice cream, like A LOT, so I also work out because of that.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: Does dancing on ice count!? I was a figure skater for 15 years, doing both singles skating & synchronized skating.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Buffalo (platform) shoes, carefully paired with a skirt overtop of pants & topped off with some butterfly clips (thank you Spice Girls)

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: My music

CURRENT HOBBIES: Making wedding invitations, and Sudoku puzzles

Charlotte Martin

DANCE EXPERIENCE: Lots of impromptu kitchen dance parties + years of toe taps on a soccer ball

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: it was and still is scrunchies and leggings

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: my golden retriever Murphy; what you might not know: the TV show Friends, i rewatch at least one episode almost every single day

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: I love anything except bacon, olives and mayo; Hawaiian Pizza with Cake Batter Froyo for dessert is pretty hard to beat though Drink: Peach flavoured Perrier

CURRENT HOBBIES: hike, hike, hike and hike

OCCUPATION: Student currently, but hopefully a doctor one day!
