Michelle Shewchuk

Height: 5’3”

YOUR B BODY: My barre/bounce body is a powerhouse, it literally carries me through each & every day - from work, to workouts, to running errands and meeting up with friends. I workout so that I can keep my body healthy & happy. Not only does working out give me the strength to participate in numerous activities (like obstacle course runs, which I love!!), but it also gives me the strength to power through day to day activities (like groceries and HAVING to take them all inside in one trip). Working out also not only nourishes my physical body, but also my mind - every workout is like a mental reset, giving me more clarity and energy to take on the rest of the day. Oh.. and I like nachos... and ice cream, like A LOT, so I also work out because of that.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: Does dancing on ice count!? I was a figure skater for 15 years, doing both singles skating & synchronized skating.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Buffalo (platform) shoes, carefully paired with a skirt overtop of pants & topped off with some butterfly clips (thank you Spice Girls)



CURRENT HOBBIES: Making wedding invitations, and Sudoku puzzles

OCCUPATION: Office Administrator at our family owned company

Marie Zydek

Height: 5’7”

YOUR B BODY: Without barre my post-pregnancy body would be wayyyy more squishy and my butt would be sagging to the floor

DANCE EXPERIENCE: 16 years of tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and musical theatre. Also a certified Pilates mat teacher.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: The grunge phase - frayed jeans, plaid shirts, Doc Marten boots


FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Popcorn with lots of butter on it, Starbucks Caramel Soy Frappuccino with light whip on top!

CURRENT HOBBIES: Interior design, reading biographies, that's about all I have time for these days!

OCCUPATION: Personal Wardrobe Stylist, Actor

Carla McNeil

Height: 5'4"-ish

YOUR B BODY: I workout to keep myself happy and stress free. Also the amount of dessert I eat needs to somehow be offset.


FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Scrunchies, still rocking them.

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: A water bottle, I bring a water bottle with me almost everywhere I go.

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Mexican, I could live off of tacos and margarita's. I also love the Egg Yolk Raviolo from Bar Bricco

CURRENT HOBBIES: Running, cooking and baking, hiking (summer), travelling and barre!

OCCUPATION: Media Manager - I plan and buy advertising campaigns for various clients.

Hannah Kulmatycki

Height: 5’2”

YOUR B BODY: I bounce and barre so I eat whatever my heart desires, to beat olympians at their own sports and to keep my asthma in control!

DANCE EXPERIENCE: 19 years of on going dance training in ballet, jazz, contemporary and others! Trained in Russia to obtain my Russia ballet certification and I have my teaching certification for ISTD ballet as well!

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Socks in sandals or double buns

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: Kinder chocolate and my puppy Earl

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Grilled cheese, KD and 1/2 sweet non-fat caramel macchiatos

CURRENT HOBBIES: Instagramming, water colour painting, trying new food and restaurants and traveling!

OCCUPATION: Student, Barre and SOAR instructor and dance teacher

Jen MacLean

Height: 5'5"

YOUR B BODY: I love the satisfying feeling I get when I push my body as far as it will go. When I push myself to the breaking point, bringing on the shakes, I feel stronger than I did yesterday!

DANCE EXPERIENCE: I danced for sixteen years. I have also participated in cheerleading and gymnastics.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Anything Disney! When I was a kid I was obsessed with Peter Pan and even attempted to fly! Thank goodness I was not hurt too bad, but I quickly learned my lesson.

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: I can’t live without my friends and family definitely. They are everything to me!

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Lasagna for the win!

CURRENT HOBBIES: Volleyball, dancing, and music.

OCCUPATION: A little bit of everything: youth worker for homeless kids, lifeguard, and professional drill sergeant on the trampoline.

Christy Wells

Height: 5'1-1/4"

YOUR B BODY: Works out each day so I can keep up with my kids during the day and eat junk food and drink wine at night.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: No dance experience, but was a national level competitive synchronized swimmer

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Hyper colour t-shirts and Jordache shoes

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: My three kids

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Red wine and Cadbury mini eggs.

CURRENT HOBBIES: Curling up with a good book and a cup of tea (although finding a quiet moment to do this is the hardest part)

Megan Clark

Kirsten Tullis

Height: Just right

YOUR B BODY: Working out for the last glass of vino in the bottle. Our studio is the best audience for my audacious sense of humour. Let’s face it, barre is a little dirty. I keep coming back though, the internal satisfaction of knowing I worked hard, challenged myself, and had enough influence on our clients, their day, their mood, to have them smile or focus so hard on an excercise and watch them flourish and strengthen.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: Since in utero! I’ve always moved to the music, or danced to the beat of my own drum. Ballet since I was a wee sprite of 5 years. Modern contemporary since I was a teenager.

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: Welly boots! Or as the Canadians call them rubber boots. I had one in almost every colour as a child! I’d wear them with shorts, dresses, skirts. Basically with anything, including fancy dress. I currently own 3 pairs!

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: Adventure, travel plans, lists (lists for everything—post-its for barre). Chocolate.. well I could but you might not want to talk to me as I can turn into the grinch

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: Sauvignon blanc— New Zealand my fav! Bubbly!! The real kind. Truffle fries ( but only after I’ve done a double barre class). Chocolate isn’t a favourite, it’s actually necessity

CURRENT HOBBIES: Barre, dance, outdoors in any capacity, reading.

Jaclyn Hutchinson

Height: 5’10”

YOUR B BODY: Barre has made me feel stronger, look more toned, and improved my posture. It’s also a good excuse to justify the amount of carbs that I eat in a day.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: I was actually never a dancer, so I learned a lot about the different positions and dance terms from years of taking barre classes!

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FASHION FAD: I love scrunchies!! I’ll still try to rock one once in a while.

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: Music - I am always listening to different kinds of music, and usually singing along.

FAVORITE FOOD/DRINK: I love Vietnamese food, like a vermicelli bowl or a stir fry with crispy noodles. I also love pizza.

CURRENT HOBBIES: Barre is definitely my main hobby, but now that school is finishing up I am getting more time to return to reading and playing piano or saxophone. I am also always looking for fun ways to stay active – right now I’m taking tennis lessons!

OCCUPATION: I’m currently finishing up my MSc in Occupational Therapy and am looking forward to starting my career as an OT in 2019!
